I draw inspiration from a combination of nostalgic memories of childhood spent by the sea and photographic references of coastal images of Mediterranean and UK coasts. My seascapes are personal representations of fleeting memories delivered with abstraction. I use intense bold colours, patterns and shapes creating an expressive language of their own. I love energetic brush marks and viscous thick paint with runny inks creating a rhythm on the surface. Parts of my paintings represent reality while other parts blur into distant memories.
